Summer FOOD Initiative
Feed the hungry, and help those in trouble. Then your light will shine! (Isaiah 58:10)
The COVID-19 Pandemic has created new challenges around food insecurity. This Summer, GRACE Church will work to serve and feed in the name of Jesus working with our local and global partners. You may make your gifts by texting “FOOD” to 610.590.9925 or by clicking here.
JUNE
Through the month of June, we hope to raise $10,000.

$5,000 for our Global Partners in Costa Rica
Iglesia Capilla del Camino in Tirrases, San Jose
As a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, many families in Costa Rica have been left without work and without resources to meet their most basic needs. Our partner churches in Costa Rica are proactively caring for their community by praying for them and providing food for families in need.
Your gifts will help our church partner and their church plant to increase their outreach to their community –feeding and serving 100 families this Summer with food, and inviting them to know Jesus through their Bible studies.

$5,000 for Bethlehem Emergency Shelter
Early in the COVID-19 crisis, GRACE Church provided tents, sleeping bags and backpacks for our homeless community when the Shelter had to close prematurely.
Your gifts will provide food over the weekend throughout the Summer for our homeless population. There is currently no food provided on the weekends.
JULY/AUGUST

Brown Bag Drive
We will do our annual “Brown Bag” food drive for our local partners. Like every year, the need for food rises considerably during the Summer. This year, our food will go to New Bethany as well as to Lynfield Community Center and North East Community Center (where many of the Freemansburg student population are served). Look for more details soon. The food drive may look different as we seek to continue to do our ministry creatively and safely.

Feed Bethlehem
Every year, GRACE partners with GROW-A-ROW to deliver fresh food to our local partners where we staff free-farmers markets. Look for opportunities coming as the growing season begins.
