“We are Christ’s ambassadors” (2 Corinthians 5:20). By welcoming the people God has brought to our church, you will have the chance to positively influence visitors in those first crucial minutes.
Greeters: Our greeters deliver the first message of the morning by creating a welcoming environment for all who come to worship– especially our newcomers/ first-time guests. Greeting requires personal warmth and energy in welcoming people who arrive on the campus, as well as knowledge to answer questions about where to go, where to take children, and anything else that a newcomer may need help with. Greeting conveys “we are glad you’re here and we are ready for you.” Greeters must arrive by 8:15 am. (one week a month)
Bakers: Bakers can signup to contribute homemade baked goods for our 10:00-10:30 Coffee and Community hour.
Servers: The Hospitality Team needs servers promote a warm and welcoming environment by serving food and beverages to our guests, members, and staff on Sunday mornings. Servers should check in with their hospitality lead in the lounge by 9:45 am. (one week a month)
Set-Up Coffee & Community Area: Arrive at 7:30 am to setup the food and beverage stations in the Coffee and Community lounge on Sunday mornings.
Breakdown Coffee and Community Area: After the 10:30 Coffee and Community Hour, pack up up the food and beverage stations, wash out coffee pots, inventory supplies, etc.
Usher: Ushers are responsible for guiding people into the worship space and providing what they need for the best possible worship experience. This means welcoming people at the doors of the auditorium, making sure they have a worship bulletin, guiding people to seats, and gathering the offering.
