Dear friends,
The Summer heat is here. It’s a reminder to me of God’s grace that He has called Mark and me to serve you in the beautiful and less humid Lehigh Valley.
Summer is also a time of escalating food needs across the Valley. To address hunger needs, I hope you will join us in our Feed Bethlehem Initiative. 19.2% of Lehigh Valley residents are experiencing food insecurity. 1 out of every 4 children live in one of these homes. During Summer, the need is even more serious. Children who rely on school lunches will go hungry, and families will turn more to food banks for help. Through our Feed Bethlehem initiative, we work with our local partners to help address this great need. In addition, we provide a free fresh food market every Saturday rotating location amongst our partners.
On Sunday, you will receive a grocery bag that you can bring back the following Sunday filled with groceries. If you would like to participate in the fresh food market, click here for more information.
During Worship, we will continue our GOD IS… series. Mark Crumpler will preach on God is… near. Like every week, we will join together in worship of a God who alone is worthy of our worship. I am so grateful for our musicians in both of our services who lead us so well to praise Him through music.
I hope you are enjoying the Summer heat, and vacations, and a more leisurely pace. They are gifts. And special thanks to all of you who continue your faithful giving through the summer months. We count on your generosity as we plan for an exciting Fall at GRACE.
