Sunday, it was a great joy for our congregation to hear the confirmation students up on the stage at BECA saying those seven words that change a life:
Jesus Christ is my Lord and Savior.
I never grow tired of people of all ages making that profession of faith. But, that’s not the end of the story. It’s only the beginning. Our prayer for those students…. And for you and everyone in our church is that you grow. In worship, in Bible Studies, in small groups, in youth group… you grow… you learn what it means for Jesus to be your Lord and Savior. And as you grow you also show your faith. You are “on display”.
On Sunday, we started our new series, On Display. We are looking at the book of James, which is a super practical book. Our faith should show! Our lives should display our commitment to Jesus. And Coach James tells us how.
This week, Mark will continue preaching in the series as James turns our attention from trials to temptations. One of the most common temptations that James addresses head on is the temptation to say something that we later wish we didn’t say! In both services, we will also share communion together.
Between the services you won’t want to miss a very important congregational meeting between the services at 10 am – It’s a milestone Sunday for GRACE Church…. As previously announced, the session has called a meeting of the congregation for the purpose of receiving a report from the Property Acquisition Team and a recommendation to purchase a property for our new campus.
I couldn’t be more excited for you to hear from the Property Acquisition Team. It is another exciting “God-only” chapter in our Grace Church story. I believe God has provided this property for us and that on it, we will be a part of building a place that will shine the love of Jesus inviting people to trust him for generations. We are going to build a church to keep building the church – and that is you.
I can’t wait for Sunday! See you there!

Dr. Marnie Crumpler
