NEWS FROM OUR SENIOR PASTOR

One of the best parts of being a pastor is walking with people in the many seasons of life and hearing their stories. Every week, I learn the stories of people who are new to GRACE or learn a deeper part of stories of some of you I have known for almost three years now.
Everyone’s story is different. Some of us became a follower of Jesus when we were a child. Some of us became a follower of Jesus through Young Life or youth group in high school. Some of us made that decision in college. Some of us are still searching. We are asking who Jesus is…. We are wanting to know how being a follower of Jesus makes a difference in our marriage, or in our job or friendships. Some of us are just checking church out again after having a bad experience years ago, or just being away from a church for a long time.
God is at work in all our stories.
I want to give a special invitation to those who are searching and asking questions. We are a church where you can ask questions and have doubts. If you have questions that you think you should know the answer to, or if you just want to know more about faith and following Jesus, this Sunday morning, at 9 am in Room 125 at BECA, Starting Point is for you. It’s an 8-week conversational small group environment where you can explore faith and experience community. Click here for more information or to sign-up.
You may know a neighbor or a friend who is searching or starting their faith journey. Invite them.
Speaking of stories…On Sunday, we will continue to see the story of Joseph unfold. The favorite son is not the favorite brother. Sibling rivalry and relationships are all over the Bible. God has his hand on even our petty jealousies and hurtful comparisons. Mark will be preaching at both services as we continue in our series, In Charge. We will also introduce more new members and hear from our children’s choirs. You won’t want to miss it.
I can’t wait to see you there,
Dr. Marnie Crumpler
Senior Pastor
