All together now−at the top of your lungs: “He Is Risen Indeed!”
I’m ready for Easter. How about you?
This will be an unprecedented Easter. Every Easter, people all around the world flock to the church in huge crowds. And historically, when there is a moment of crisis, countless numbers of people find their way to the church.
But this year, with the coronavirus crisis impacting every country and every continent, colliding with Easter Sunday, people have to stay at home.
But, that won’t stop us from celebrating Easter. The church, as we are so aware, is not a building, it’s the people. And this year, you and millions will still declare the great truth from your dens and maybe even in your pajamas: “He is Risen Indeed!”
I hope you will not only declare this life-changing truth when I ask on Sunday… I pray that you will invite your friends and neighbors to join you. There has never been an Easter where we more need the hope that only Easter can bring.

EASTER means HOPES. So, say it loud with me on Sunday morning: “He is risen indeed.”
Finally, a favorite Easter quotation: Walter Wink writes, “Killing Jesus was like trying to destroy a dandelion by blowing on it.”
It’s Friday, but Sunday’s coming.
