GRACE Midweek Bible Study

Wednesdays 6:30 PM | Via Zoom
Thursdays at 11:00 AM | GRACE Hall B

September 13 – December 13, 2023

We are living in a cultural moment in which a serious faith commitment seems strange, out of place, even regarded as harmful. This kind of experience is hardly new. The Old Testament story of the exile tells about how God’s people found themselves living in a place that was not friendly to their faith. And it tells about what it mean to thrive in such a place. This fall the Midweek Bible Class will listen to the words of the prophet Jeremiah to understand better how to live well in exile.

GRACE Women’s Bible Study:  Psalms: Prayers of the Heart

Wednesday 9:30 AM – 11:00 AM | GRACE Hall B
September 13 – December 13, 2023

The Book of Psalms is the prayer book of the Bible. For centuries God’s people have prayed by reading and reciting the Psalms. Join Carol VanArtsdalen for this 12-week study of the Psalms, learning to honestly express our response to God while claiming God’s promises about who He is, what He has done, and what he continues to do.

GRACE Men’s Bible Study

Wednesday  7:00 AM | GRACE Hall B
September 13 – December 13, 2023

The Book of Hebrews

Sunday 11:00 AM – 12:00 PM | GRACE Hall B
September 17 – November 12

Before Jesus was born, God had been revealing himself to his people, making himself known through his law and through the words of the prophets. In Jesus, God’s self-disclosure comes to its most complete and definitive expression. In the New Testament, the book of Hebrews connects the dots and shows us how the entire Bible is one story that points to Jesus. Join Dr. Gary Harlow on Sunday morning at 11:00 for a verse by verse study of the Book of Hebrews.

C. S. Lewis and “The Screwtape Letters”

Sunday 11:00 AM – 12:00 PM | Grace Hall A

C. S. Lewis once remarked that within five years of his death none of his work would be read or remembered. This fall will mark 60 years since Lewis died, and many of his books are still in print, read and loved by millions around the world. His book The Screwtape Letters was the first to make him popular here in the states. Join Mark Crumpler on Sunday mornings at 11:00 for this six-week study of C. S. Lewis’ life and the his imaginative reflections on temptation in The Screwtape Letters.

Being a Grandparent can be great fun – but it is also a high calling. Grandparents can be formative figures in the spiritual lives of their grandkids.
