On Sunday, we will begin “Luke: The Passion.” This is the final sermon series of our months-long journey through the Gospel of Luke. If you didn’t pick up your final installment of the scripture journal, I hope you will get yours on Sunday.
The English word passion comes from the Latin word passio, which means suffering. Sunday, we will look further at this word and its use for Jesus’ suffering and his love for the world. We will begin walking with Jesus to the cross, first as King entering the city of Jerusalem. Appropriately, we will take communion together as we continue our journey to Easter.
Speaking of Easter…. We now know that we will begin worshipping in our new Sanctuary at the end of April. We are planning to have an outdoor Easter Sunrise Prayer Service on the new campus from 7- 7:30 am. And then head over to BECAHI for our CLASSIC Services at 8:30 and 9:45 am, and our MODERN Service at 11 am.
Stay tuned for more details about Open Houses and other Opening events at our new campus. We are almost there.
Annual Meeting of the Congregation and Corporation, immediately following the 9:45 am service.
Plan on being at our Annual Meeting this Sunday. In addition to the election of our officers, you will hear more information about on-going and final stages of the building from Gary Etter, Co-Chair of our Building Committee. Other reports will come from Personnel, Trustees, and Deacons. You will receive the Annual Report and the 2023 Budget. CLICK HERE to see the Annual Report and Officer Nominees being presented by the Nominating Committee.
Spoiler alert: At the meeting, you will see the overwhelming faithfulness of God in the work of our dear GRACE Church and in you!
