GRACE This Week

5 years ago, this is what I wrote to you in my Friday letter:

Here we Go! With God’s faithfulness as our net, we now take a leap of faith and launch into a new and exciting season in the life of our church. I have never seen a group of people more excited. What a powerful moment it was to have thirteen of the fourteen surviving members who were a part of our church in the original North Street building lead the covenant moment of raising our Ebenezer stones. We carry the legacy of this congregation and its commitment to Jesus Christ as we move ahead.

Many of you were there for that very first Sunday worshipping at BECAHI. And many of you have joined GRACE since that significant Sunday. It is hard to believe that this Sunday will be our 5th year anniversary worshipping at BECAHI. BECAHI has been a dear partner to us over these years. Through these years, God has continued to grow us “deep and wide.” That’s God’s plan for His Church. That people will find and follow Jesus. And that we will each grow deeper in our faith, becoming more like Jesus; and that we will grow wider in numbers, with more people becoming a part of the church. What an amazing story God is writing through his work in and through you!

But this 5th anniversary at BECAHI is different. This Sunday gets us one week closer in our countdown to the move into our new campus on Hecktown Road. Every day, I thank God for his faithfulness in leading us. And there is so much to look forward to. Teams of people are making plans for the move. Stay tuned for more information and invitations to our opening events.

Speaking of growing deep. This is a good time of year for you to find a bible study or a group at GRACE where you can grow deep. CLICK HERE for a list of studies and groups that will begin soon. Also, many of you are in small groups where you study the bible and grow. CLICK HERE to find a “Groups guide” that follows our Sunday messages.

And, speaking of growing wide. This is a good time to take the next step into our community. Please consider signing up for NEXT, where you will learn more about the vision of GRACE, and ways to connect and grow at GRACE. CLICK HERE for more information or to reserve your spot.

On Sunday, we will keep making our way through the Gospel of Luke. Luke is chronicling the Mission of Jesus. This week, we are in Luke 4. Jesus goes back home and is rejected by the people in his synagogue. Why? Jesus’ mission is not what they think. Bring your journal. Sunday, we will underline Jesus’ one sentence sermon that lays out his mission.

Also, next week, you will receive information about our Annual Giving Campaign, ON MISSION. Commitment Sunday is January 29th, where together we will make our commitments to support the mission and ministry of GRACE. What a privilege to be “ON MISSION” together here in the Lehigh Valley and beyond. For more information or to make your commitment now, CLICK HERE.

God continues to lead the way for our church. It is a privilege to be
