I love a good ending. A few weeks ago, Mark and I saw the “Top Gun” sequel. And the ending did not disappoint. This weekend, we will see Jurassic World. And we are counting on a good ending for the Spielberg dinosaur saga.
Good endings bring all kinds of redemption. The hero wins. Relationships are restored. Bad guys become good guys.
Sunday, we will wrap up our Jonah Series, “Running From God.” It should be such a good ending. Jonah had done his job. He had obeyed God. And Nineveh repented.
But the last chapter of Jonah is not a good ending. It’s pretty dissatisfying. You never want to see the good guy become the bad guy.
Sunday, we will look into the heart of Jonah and see that he needs grace. After God gives grace to Nineveh, he will have to give it to Jonah…again.
At the 11 am service, we will also baptize one of our newest GRACE little ones and ordain and install some of our officers.
Come Sunday, to get some grace at GRACE. We all need it.
