GRACE this Week

Justice.

Over the last year, we have heard this word a lot – in the news, in the paper, at protests.

It’s also a word that shows up from the beginning to the end of the Bible. It shows up over 200 times in the Old Testament. Jesus uses justice language at the beginning of his ministry in his home synagogue. Justice matters to God.

How do you take hold of a Biblical understanding of justice? And what does it look like for you to DO justice.

On Sunday, we will continue in our Good Lessons from a Bad Year with “Justice Matters”. To get ready, Read Micah 6:1-8. And give some thought to these provocative words from Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. — Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere.

PRESS ON 2021 COMMITMENT

This week, you should have received a packet from the church with your giving statement from 2020 as well as a commitment card for 2021. If you did not receive the packet, you can see it by clicking here. The packet tells the story of God’s faithfulness through your generosity last year – A RECORD year of generosity. And it invites you to invest in GRACE’s mission and ministry again this year. Next Sunday, January 24th is our commitment Sunday. If you plan to attend in-person, you can turn your commitment card at one of our services. You can also mail your card back to the church office. Or just go ahead and make your commitment today by clicking here. Thank you in advance for your commitment and investment. It is such a gift to serve such a generous and engaged congregation.

FIND A PLACE TO GROW
