Christmas is over. The tree will soon come down- if it hasn’t already. The diet is about to begin. Now it’s turkey soup every night.
Not quite. The holiday spirit rolls on! Our tree is still up. We’ve got boxes of chocolates open on the table. We are still glowing from the candles and still humming from the beautiful music of our Christmas Candlelight Services and our Christmas Sunday service. Christmas is not over yet! My prayer is that you are enjoying time with your friends and family and reflecting on God’s love for you that came at Christmas.
Do you see those smiling faces at the top of the page? This is most of our Team GRACE – the greatest church staff ever! They just hosted five Christmas Eve services and they serve the mission of GRACE Church every day. This year has called them to be flexible and creative as their roles and responsibilities changed. None of us had a class in seminary called “Ministry during a Global Pandemic!” It is a great privilege to lead this talented team of people.
A large part of our giving to God’s work at GRACE supports the salaries of these enthusiastic people. Every year, we anticipate that more than 15% of GRACE’s annual income comes at the end of the year in December. So, I want to thank you in advance for keeping GRACE strong financially as we end the year strong together. I so appreciate your continued generosity to God’s work at GRACE. You have done so through not only annual operating giving, but also through our SHINE Capital Campaign giving.
To receive your year-end gifts, our business office will be open on December 29th and 30th – 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and December 31st from 8 am to 12 pm noon. You can contact Sue Knarr, or Finance Manager at sknarr@gracecb.org or Doug Stewart, our Executive Pastor at dstewart@gracecb.org or by phone at 484-898-8958 with any questions you might have. Or you can give online by CLICKING HERE.
You are a generous, generous congregation.
On Sunday, January 2nd, I will launch our first Sunday series of the year – Revisiting GRACE. We will dig into our vision as a church and God’s work in and through us. We will take communion together as I preach, God’s GRACE for a New Year.
Your GRACE staff wishes you a blessed and happy New Year!

Dr. Marnie Crumpler
Senior Pastor
