Six years ago, I was just your guest preacher. I had no idea that the people I saw out in the congregation that weekend in all those services would be people that I would know and love. I had no idea that God would give me and Mark the privilege of being your pastors and the joy of doing life and ministry with you. I am so grateful for our journey together. I can’t wait to see all that God has in store for us.
Many of the Psalms begin with this important phrase that I can so easily say about you and so many other things in my life: “Give thanks to the Lord”
Thanks runs from my heart to my lips to my prayers. I hope you will find a few minutes this week to give thanks.
You can also give thanks tonight with your GRACE family. Join us for our annual Thanksgiving Eve Service at 7 pm at BECA. This service will also be live-streamed. There will be glorious music from our Chancel Choir and brass ensemble along with testimonies from our members and a Thanksgiving message.
I can’t believe how quickly days turn into months and months turn into years. We are on the edge of what pastors affectionately call “Thanksmas” season. You are already making your plans for not only the meal this week, but for Christmas meals and tables.
As we marvel that it’s already Thanksgiving, Advent begins this Sunday. We will light the Advent Candles and begin our Christmas Sermon Series – “Missing Christmas.”
Also on Sunday, I will announce the results of our SHINE BRIGHT Campaign. If you have not made your commitment, you can do that now! Click here.
I received many requests for copies of my “Dear GRACE” message last Sunday, as a part of our SHINE BRIGHT Commitment Sunday. You can Read it here, or Watch it here. What an exciting season for our GRACE Church!
I hope to see you tonight and Sunday. Happy almost Thanksgiving. I am so thankful for you.
Your pastor and friend,

Dr. Marnie Crumpler
Senior Pastor
