It’s the middle of summer and it’s finally hot. We felt all that heat as we sweated our way to John’s 3rd floor apartment in Atlanta. He is all moved in and ready to start school. I admit that I did more arranging than lifting with my still-recovering broken arm.
His new season made me reflect on our current season at GRACE.
Though we are not meeting together physically on Sundays, we are meeting every week. We are gathering in our virtual lobby. We are worshipping together. We are taking communion together. During the week, we are meeting in small groups. We are growing in our bible studies. We are serving. We are meeting in our high school and middle groups. We are continuing to partner in mission to the Lehigh Valley and the world. We are “BEING” the church in our homes and our neighborhoods.
The reality is life is constantly changing. But God never changes. And his mission never changes. We are in that together – as we join God and invite all people to know the GRACE of Jesus.
I remember with fondness God’s faithfulness in our past seasons. And I can’t wait for our future seasons together. As we get back to worship together. As we dig dirt for our new campus in our strategic new location. As we keep growing as a church – wider (with more and more people) and deeper (in our likeness of Christ). As we continue inviting everyone all in the Lehigh Valley to know the GRACE of Jesus.
God is on the move. Nothing can stop him. No season can thwart his loving kindness. Let’s open our eyes to see it today and pray for it in our future. God has big plans GRACE Church!
This weekend, we lean into mission and worship together.
Tomorrow, Saturday, July 18th, from 1-3 pm, we will have our brown bag “drop off” at the Locust Street campus as we partner with NorthEast Community Center to fight food insecurity. All precautions will be taken for your safety and the safety of volunteers who will receive your donations from your car. See below for suggested food donations.
Sunday, we continue in our Joy / FULL series in Philippians. Mark Crumpler will be preaching “Cultivate Community” digging into Philippians 2:19-30. It’s a season we are having to work a little harder to do that. So, to get ready for worship Sunday, reach out to one of your GRACE friends. You won’t regret it. I hope you will recommit to being in worship each week. God-willing, it won’t be long until we are worshipping together at BECA again.
But for now, see you in line at Locust and in the virtual lobby on Sunday.
Your pastor and friend,

Dr. Marnie Crumpler
Senior Pastor
