An event every month that begins at 1:00 pm on day Second of the month, repeating until August 5, 2020
DescriptionGrace Church is offering support through a Dementia Caregivers Support Group on the second Wednesday of each month at 1:00 in Room #100 at Locust Street. If you, or a friend or someone in your family is giving care to a person with dementia, please share this message with them. Dementia, a decline in the mental ability that interferes with daily living, is affecting millions of people. Caregivers are an important part of helping family members to cope with the problem of memory and behavior that affect those who are struggling with dementia. A primary source of help for those giving care is a support group. Dementia is not something that you need to feel uncomfortable about discussing in a group. In our group at Grace will be a few people from our church who have had experience with dementia caregiving in the past and wish to continue to help others. There will be much to learn and to share, but it will basically be a group that has formed to help one another. If you have questions or are unsure of joining the group, please do not hesitate to call Sally Gillispie at 610-867-8393 who will be happy to help you.
